Sadrelinde Auxmor

Born in a small village among ancient Vallenwood trees near a wilder elf encampment, Sadrelinde Auxmour grew up with a sense of awe in nature. As a child, it was a common sight to see her nimbly climbing trees to chase squirrels, colorful beetles, and other woodland creatures.

Her father was a ranger and her mother was a deacon of Paladine. Sadrelinde's parents were amused by her infatuation with nature, and were proud of her even though some days she appeared only briefly for family meals. Her little brother Jestayre looked up to her and often followed her around in her journeys.

As she grew older and spent more time with her woodland friends, Sadrelinde realized that she could speak with them, understand them, and even order them about. With surprise and delight, she realized she had druidic skills. She felt that the gods had blessed her.

When she was 14, Sadrelinde visited the village tattooist. She carried a fire-lizard on her shoulder, and paid to have a tattoo of this creature on her neck. Jestayre, only 11 years old, wanted to be just like his big sister and demanded the same. Sadrelinde smiled at this, and she and her brother became closer.

When Jestayre reached his 18th birthday (Sadrelinde was 21) they decided to go on an adventure to celebrate. Unfortunately their celebration was not a happy one. While attempting to tame a deer, a vicious wolf pack leaped out of the trees and attacked them. Jestayre and Sadrelinde fought valiantly, but the alpha male bashed Sadrelinde down and she felt a searing pain across her right eye. Through a haze of blood and waves of dizziness, she could see her brother strike down the wolf who had hurt her. The other wolves were enraged and attacked him viciously. Jestayre screamed, “RUN”, but she could not. He ran then, to lead the snarling wolves away from his beloved sister. Sadrelinde shrieked in horror and pain, unable to follow. She felt that the gods had cursed her.

Despite days of tracking the wolf pack, Sadrelinde could find no sign of her brother. There were no remains-- only spots of blood and snapped twigs that lead to a well-travelled road. Had someone on this road picked him up alive? Is he enslaved? Or... dead?

Heartbroken, Sadrelinde was unable to return home to tell her parents of Jestayre's disappearance. Instead, armed with a Vallenwood staff and a rucksack filled with rations, she traveled down the road... searching.
